Allergen & Product Care
Last updated: August 6, 2026
How to keep your cake at its best — and what to know about the ingredients and kitchen it comes from.
Major Allergens
All DOTISSE products contain milk and eggs. Allergens vary by flavor: depending on the selected product, ingredients may also contain wheat, soy, sesame, peanuts or tree nuts.
- Full ingredient information for each flavor is listed on its product page.
- Recipes and suppliers may change. Please ask about allergens before placing an order request, and again if you order the same flavor at a later date.
- If you have a specific allergen concern, tell us in the notes field of the order request form so we can review it before confirming.
Cross-Contact Warning
DOTISSE is not an allergen-free kitchen and cannot guarantee that any product is completely free from cross-contact with allergens.
- All products are made to order in a shared kitchen where milk, eggs, wheat, soy, sesame, peanuts and tree nuts may be handled.
- Equipment, surfaces and storage are shared across flavors.
- No product should be described or treated as safe for a person with a food allergy unless DOTISSE has explicitly confirmed this in writing for that specific order.
Special Dietary Requests
- Special dietary requests are reviewed individually and are not guaranteed.
- Please submit any dietary request with your order request, before payment, so it can be considered as part of the review.
- DOTISSE does not provide medical or nutritional advice. Customers with allergies, intolerances or medical conditions should consult their own healthcare professional.
Refrigeration
Keep refrigerated at 2–4°C / 36–39°F in a sealed container.
- Refrigerate the cake as soon as you arrive home.
- Keep it covered or in a sealed container so it does not absorb other aromas.
- Do not leave the cake at room temperature for extended periods.
Transportation
- Carry the box flat and level — never tilted or stacked.
- Keep the cake cool during transport, especially in warm weather. An insulated bag or cooler is recommended.
- Avoid leaving the cake in a parked or unairconditioned car.
- Travel directly from pickup to refrigeration whenever possible.
Serving Guidance
- For the cleanest slices, cut the cake straight from the refrigerator with a warm, dry knife, wiping the blade between cuts.
- For a softer, creamier texture, let the cake rest at cool room temperature for roughly 15–20 minutes before serving.
- Return any leftovers to the refrigerator promptly.
Best-Quality Period
- Basque cheesecakes are at their best within 2–3 days of pickup when refrigerated as directed.
- Texture and flavor gradually change after that period.
- Cakes with fresh fruit or whipped cream finishes are best enjoyed on the day of pickup or the following day.
Customer Responsibility After Pickup
- Once an order has been accepted at pickup and leaves the pickup location, the customer is responsible for its transportation, refrigeration, handling and storage.
- DOTISSE cannot guarantee quality or food safety for products that are not stored and handled as described above.
- Please review your order at pickup and report any visible discrepancy immediately.
